FUUMA Fuuma, Fuuma, Fuuma... Murderfamily was worried about Fuuma because he seemed smart and sneaky and all those dangerous things. Gi-ne didn't approach him too often because she didn't want to attract his attention! Her goal during the day was to be helpful in a not-too-helpful sort of way, making a lot of noise while seeming harmless to "both sides" so that the Foxes wouldn't bother investigating her. But she did try to casually listen in on a lot of Fuuma's day time conversations! Partly because she knew Hinata was really creeped out by him and wanted to keep an eye on that, but also because he was deemed a potential threat. She was honestly curious to hear his and Kamui's analysis of the murders and the Generals actions the first few days, since they were usually smarter than what had actually happened! So during trials or back when everyone could spare the time to crowd around the bodies together, she'd try to be standing close enough to overhear without looking like she was haha.
Anyway, during Generals meetings Fuuma did come up in conversation a few times. He really scared Hinata! Gi-ne had to calm him down to stop him from panicking about that one night. Gi-ne was never really sure what to make of that! There was no reason at that point to suspect Hinata and she got the idea that Fuuma was actually trying to help him or something. So she was like "is he some kind of sneaky genius who can see right through us or is he just a creepy guy with a smile..." and eventually settled on the latter. They talked about killing him (or Kamui, fucking damn them) a few times but never got around to it because Hinata was too chickenshit.
THE ORION THING WAS A BIGGER DEAL IN EVERYONE'S MINDS THAN IT WAS IN REALITY. Gi-ne knew from the night Shijima died that Fuuma was one of the people Orion told he was the Fox, so when Orion was killed Fuuma was suspect number one! Mostly because they liked Matt and Greed more, tbh. She believed Royce about Yamato but was still confused because THIS CANNOT BE A COINCIDENCE?? She ended up dying before she could get to the bottom of that and was just generally wary of Fuuma.
Which brings me to her death! Fuuma confused her. She was expecting to be questioned, for which she had the prepared defence of "being an asshole" which worked for a while. But then he turned the tables on her and started being nice?? He praised her?? Gi-ne has people who love her back home, but it's sort of an "in spite of her faults" sort of thing. Being kind and selfless isn't something to brag about on Vegeta, but having it be praised on the island was... nice. Once she leaves and has time to think about it she might reevaluate what's important and Goku will benefit from that so good work, Fuuma! The hug was also nice, but more because she couldn't hug any of the people she actually liked (besides Bols). Gave her a chance to hide her face and take a breath.
In the graveyard, Fuuma was not really at the forefront of Gi-ne's mind, beyond general "potential threats" to the remaining murderfam. He picked up again during the next trial, of course! Gi-ne knew Rei was innocent but she was still really impressed by Fuuma's reasoning! Since she knew Rei wasn't hiding being mafia, she realised she had to be hiding something else. That trial was also a good reveal of how Fuuma had been playing the game until then and Gi-ne realised that the only reason he hadn't caught them was because the game was actually a different one than he'd been playing... Sorry, Fuuma, they were too sincerely concerned for everyone there and not nearly cunning enough. "Too smart for his own good and a lot smarter than us" was the final evaluation, Fuuma definitely overthinks things in Gi-ne opinion.
Also he's a creepy motherfucker but she'll keep that one to herself.
