I DON'T BELIEVE THESE LIES UGH URASHIMA

out of all the swords, tsurumaru felt the most guilty lying to urashima. he didn't know urashima too well, since urashima is a newer sword around the citadel, but he always joined in the games that tsuru played with the tantous!! so tsuru naturally wanted to look out for him and make sure that he was alright. which kind of worked in his favor, since as a general, he could make sure they weren't voting for urashima early on... LIKE... ALL THESE OTHER COMRADES CAN BE SLAUGHTERED TBH... TBH but he wanted to keep the precious child urashima safe!

.....which turned out to be a BIG MISTAKE because who knew urashima would be the only other sword with a role..... SNAPS FINGERS! but, anyway. tsurumaru was super fond of the whole urashima and clarine thing, because he knew urashima, but he also knew clarine better than most of the other swords did, and whenever urashima would namedrop her at the sword meetings, tsuru would take everything he said over to the generals' meetings and tell clarine. but none of the generals actually thought urashima had an important role? like... we did really want to have clarine kill him at some point, but NO... MAYBE MATT'S THE RAINSFORD, URASHIMA CAN'T BE ANYTHING i'm laughing we are so bad at this game touches the ground with my hands

and then night 4 happened, and then day 5, and the swords' numbers just kept going down, and while kasen and kashuu decided to become team chaotic chaotic, tsuru did wonder how urashima would be dealing with all of this... but tsuru also had a feeling that urashima sort of knew about him, because of that (true) claim that one of the swords had to be a general. but he died before he could tell urashima anything!! in a way, after he died, he knew that the truth about him would come out, and aside from all of the guilt just crashing down on him in the graveyard, tsuru felt bad about lying to urashima, because urashima is a pure strong cinnamon roll that doesn't need to realize that tsuru was the traitor......

but at endgame, he managed to see urashima again, and urashima's forgiveness did mean a lot to him!! especially when urashima gave him that speech about who tsuru is to him... it lessened a lot of the burden of his guilt. he promises... pinky promises that he'll play as many games with urashima and the tantous as they want!!!!

p.s. i teared up while reading kasen's and urashima's day 6 private convo i swear UGH MY TEARS
