Clarine really likes Shijima! Honestly despite the whole Zaroff thing and the mutilating bodies, Clarine understands where she's coming from. They too had a single way they could win, and they had to do it as Generals; Shijima was playing her role as best she could in order to get out of that mess. STILL YOU KIND OF WENT OVERBOARD WITH STOCKING JEEZE SHIJIMA....

She really does like her as a person though. Shijima was sassy and strong-willed and graceful and poised--in other words, she's everything Clarine would like to grow up to be. That made her admire Shijima even after they found everything out. Honestly, the Generals were angrier at the Judge than at Shijima basically the whole time.... and mostly that the Judge cockblocked them from killing her because they're babies. And they knew they had to get rid of her early but also they just were mad that they were stopped and that's why they were so determined HAHAHA. SORRY SHIJIMA.

Either way, Clarine's enormously glad that she was able to save her. Shijima deserves a peaceful death after all of this, and it was worth everything to be able to give that to her.

She's just really glad she was able to give Shijima proper thanks for saving their butts at the end there before they ended up parting ways for good. IN THE END as far as Clarine's concerned, Shijima really did come through for them and that makes it all okay. But of course Clarine's biased and liked Shijima most of the time so that's not really surprising.
