Bols liked Matt! They weren't, like, close on a personal level, but he had a lot of respect for him, like, professionally speaking. The morning roll call was a good idea, and in the trials, Matt was always so calm and collected and good at keeping things stable in the trials, and as a cripplingly shy wallflower, Bols admires people who can be that assertive and proactive and shit. Maybe it's easier when you can't see people staring at you???

He was fairly oblivious to Matt's more violent tendencies, though, so finding the state of things around his body was kind of a surprise? Weird, man, weird.

Hector didn't form a very strong impression of him? He was useful enough, but anybody who's friendly with Royce has got to have some shit taste and questionable judgment. Not terribly promising for someone who's involved in the law, tbh.
