Gi-ne didn't make an impression on Fuuma until about day two, during the Sephiroth trial poor Lum. During the first few days he mostly wanted to work out what the rules of this world were, if he should actually try to follow them, and when he should try helping. A lot of that was never stated anywhere because I try to cut back on introspective stuff in mafia games unless I'm sure of someone's alignment.

It's kind of an OOC habit, tbh. I don't want to influence someone's opinion with narrative so there's just kind of an absence of it. Ha... ha... That said I love reading other people's introspective stuff so I'm a huge hypocrite, go figure.

BUT for Gi-ne, yes. He first took notice of her during the trial because she seemed eager, conversational, and willing to help. She seemed a bit less like a follower than a few others, which stood out at the time (though, quizzically, she also went with the flow. Not quite a leader, not quite a follower, she was somewhere inbetween). Over time that became her habit during the trials, which he took notice of. That's more of Fuuma's observations than how he actually felt about her, but hey...!! That's pretty much what 99% of these will be tbh. He meets so many people that he doesn't get overly sentimental or attached to them (even if he wants to help them and, if the opportunity presents itself, looks out for their best interests), with some exceptions. He's drawn to straightforward, kind, and honest people and those are the types he gives his well-wishes. Hence why he was more willing to believe Gi-ne, Clarine, Hinata, Pearl, and Bols than some others.

There was a point where Sephiroth told Fuuma that he should talk to Gi-ne but I'm gonna be honest, I completely forgot about it. THE CR THEY NEVER HAD, GI-NE... Next time I need to keep a notebook handy for notes because I swear, looking back I forgot like 60% of the things Fuuma should have followed up on.

But at least they got a thread together later and Fuuma got to see Gi-ne be a little cool! They didn't get to talk much but he did get to see her fish. While it wasn't the most impressive feat he's ever seen, he was impressed enough. The fish catch netted her a solid +1 rep in his eyes. Plus, it was pretty nice to see someone enjoying themselves and not focusing on the game. Unfortunately, when Gi-ne brought up how they met at night, his opinion of her took a hit because as soon as she mentioned his name for an alibi, it was like Shijima all over again. He didn't appreciate being used as a cover by two different people.

In the end though? He still had a positive opinion of her. Yeah, she did try to use him but she was also trying to survive. He couldn't fault her for doing anything she could to live when that's the typical response to being in that situation. He couldn't fault her for being a General either for the reasons he gave her at the execution. I wanna point out though that he doesn't hold people's faults against them because he's inherently kind or anything, it's more that he acknowledges doing bad things doesn't mean you can't be good or doing good things doesn't mean you aren't bad.

She deserved respect for trying, for trying her best to fulfill her role, and for remaining true to herself the whole time. His assessment of her being kind before her death was a bit wrong given the game's premise, but in the end she proved she was actually a kind person so he decided to lend her his shoulder.

I hope that's good enough...!
