TSURUMARU.... Tsurumaru... If I'm honest, she didn't have much of an opinion on him before the Horikawa Affair. She spends too much time around killers for his behaviour to raise the appropriate flags, so in her head he was the "other adult who isn't scared to murder, good, we need those" and an ally to look out for! She was prepared to trust him, let him be and focus on the kids and her own murdering. He was a useful source of information as far as the swords went too, what a useful member of the group. When he suggested Horikawa's name, she decided to trust that he knew what was best regarding the sword group and left him to it.
Mistakes were made.
After she saw Horikawa's body and watched Tsurumaru's reaction to what had happened in the meeting, Tsurumaru quickly got moved from the "reliable comrade" box to the "needs to be babysat" box. Bad boy. Bad dog. She didn't hate him or anything and wasn't nearly as mad as Hinata was, of course. She was actually more mad at Hijikata than him. But she decided he needed looking after
and a leash. Once she felt Hijikata was properly scolded she was prepared to leave him as mostly his boyfriend's responsibility. Again, Tsurumaru's behaviour as far as killing goes isn't that weird to her so she couldn't get too worked up over it. Especially once she realised it was a sex thing. At her trial she didn't want to vote for Tsurumaru or try to push attention back towards him, even though it was probably her best chance at surviving because she figured the evidence against him was way less than it was against her. So, basically, he stood a better chance of surviving two trials than she did. This turned out not to be a concern, but she was prepared to take a bullet for the sake of Tsurumaru and the group. She gets fond of people easily.
In the graveyard they became a little closer because she was so worried about murderfamily and Tsurumaru pushed all her mom buttons. She doesn't quite get how attached he seems to be to her, but it triggers all her sentimental issues so... she's okay with it. She's glad for their little family and can safely say she will never forget him.
