Gi-ne liked Hijitaka from the start! He seemed like an overconfident asshole, but she's used to those so she was fine ignoring it. That he was so eager to spar with her when they first met gave him points, plus it was useful for helping her figure out just how badly her powers had been messed with. So, thanks, Hijikatana! She was also relieved by the fact that she wasn't the only one there okay with murder. In fact, he and Tsurumaru seemed way more comfortable with it than she was! So it was nice to know that she wouldn't have to live up to the saiyan reputation as much as she was worried she would. Though she made a point of saying she was cool with murder, she was actually dreading having to do it so knowing there were others there to back her up was nice! Thanks, Hijikasa!
But then Hijibaka rapidly proved that he could not be trusted to go out alone without acting in a gross way. Thanks for snitching, Orion. She didn't want to tell Hinata and Clarine about that, if it could be helped, because she didn't want to make a fuss but she really did make a mental note of it. Back to being the responsible murderer! The Horikawa Affair didn't help, she was really angry at him for tying Horikawa up and not letting him fight properly. Which was the real issue there, obviously.
Look, you make it quick or you make it a fun fight, you don't get all creepy about it.
After the fact Hijikata seemed a little contrite over what happened, so she relaxed a little. He obviously had some weird kinky thing with Tsurumaru that had gotten out of hand, so she just scolded them both and hoped for the best. She was relying on him to help her win and protect their murderchildren, after all... Plus, they'd just lost Orion so she was worried and feeling a bit clingy with the others.
In the graveyard she was worried about Hinata and Clarine the most... but also what Hijikata and Tsurumaru might get up to unsupervised. So she wrote her little note, hoping it would give him a kick into gear as the Most Responsible Adult Left. Please protect the children, please murder responsibly, please stop napping through trials... Apparently it didn't work and she took some of her frustration out on him after he died... But she can't hold a grudge for long, especially against an ally.
tl;dr she likes Hijikata as a person and will remember him fondly. She's glad he's going to remember too! These memories will connect us across worlds, or something. She likes to think they're parting with mutual respect and that he's learned some important lessons from the experience.
