So, Gi-ne missed Hinata doxxing Rei in the Generals meeting by being dead so she's still not 100% sure what to make of Rei! She singled her out as a threat from the first trial because Rei and Stocking immediately clued in on there being more than one killer, even if they did think they were the "Foxhounds". Gi-ne didn't like that Rei'd figured them out so quickly! But there was still the "cute girl in wheelchair" angle that made her hesitate from seriously gunning for her and Hinata didn't want to kill her, so she lived.

That impression of "smart enough to be dangerous" kept up for a few days, but that was pretty much it as far as Gi-ne was concerned. Hinata was in charge of keeping an eye on her, in Gi-ne's mind, and she thought their little teenage romance could be useful in some way. When Shijima was taken out and Rei was all annoyed about the pattern with the General's kills being messed up, Gi-ne got annoyed at her! Little know it all acting like she knew the General's motives better than Gi-ne! Acting like she knew more about killing than a saiyan! It wasn't serious, but it did put Gi-ne a little on edge around her.

It wasn't until Gi-ne's execution and Rei's quick tone shift in their conversation that she really started to worry though. Monkey instincts into overdrive. This was helped the next night in the graveyard, when Shijima agreed with her and encouraged that train of thought. Fuuma's arguments against her in trial also helped. While Gi-ne knew that Rei wasn't a General, Fuuma's arguments were still really convincing. Rei wasn't hiding being mafia, so what was she hiding? Gi-ne started to worry, mostly for Hinata's sake. Unrelated to that, she also just started getting really annoyed with Rei's attitude that trial. She felt like Rei wasn't working very hard to defend herself and making Hinata do all the fighting for her. In Gi-ne's mind, that's a really gross thing to do! Fight for your own survival, Rei! Don't just give up without a fight! For a saiyan that behaviour was inexcusable and it's something that's actually colouring Gi-ne's opinion on humanity as a whole so GOOD WORK, REI.

Anyway, she was all set to mostly ignore her in the graveyard. When Hinata and Clarine were revealed at the last Generals she was really worried about them though and so was Rei! Rei's clear yandere concern for Hinata helped endear her to Gi-ne somewhat. Especially when Rei said she'd take Hinata's place as the Zaroff. That alone was enough to give her several good points.

Now that they're all parting ways, Gi-ne's happy so long as Hinata's happy so... Go on to Hope's Peak, Rei. Hopefully Hinata can teach you a thing or two. Please don't fuck with his head too much.
